SAN FRANCISCO —A five-lawyer group led by partner Michael Ferrazano has departed Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice to open a Silicon Valley office for Sacramento-based Downey Brand.
Ferrazano, a patent prosecutor, brings a practice that serves clients in the computer technology, telecommunications, biotechnology and medical device industries. He is joined by associates Patrick Cummins, Chad Eimers, Charles Lane, and Benjamin Wigger. Also joining Downey Brand are five patent agents, a paralegal and 11 administrative personnel.
