General counsel Kent Walker responded publicly to the EU allegations, known as a Statement of Objections, or SO, on Google’s Europe Blog. He wrote that Google had provided the European Commission in its formal response with data to disprove allegations that Google stifles competition by favoring its comparative shopping service above rivals in search results.
