A federal judge in Washington, D.C., who is overseeing a sex discrimination case against Jones Day didn’t say on Thursday how he would rule in the long-running case brought by two former firm associates, but he appeared to push back more on oral arguments from the plaintiffs, who claim the law firm’s paternity leave policy is discriminatory.

“I think you are actually wrong about that,” U.S. District Judge Randolph Moss said at one point during a motions hearing, in response to an argument made by former Jones Day employee Julia Sheketoff about details over various parental leave policies.
