A second judge on a U.S. Patent and Trademark Office administrative panel has recused himself amid allegations of bias in favor of Cisco Systems Inc.

Administrative Patent Judge Steven Amundson wrote in a brief order Wednesday that Centripetal Networks’ claim of bias “lacks merit,” but followed APJ Brian McNamara’s move last week to voluntarily recuse himself.
