The government gets to control official messaging after a transition of power, Esha Bhandari, a staff attorney at the American Civil Liberties Union, wrote in a blog post Wednesday. “What the government cannot do is impose an overbroad muzzle on its employees that prevents them from speaking out at all,” she said.
