Retirement is the financial ability to cease having to earn income, or at least work full time, and has little to do with age. A question that I am frequently asked, therefore, is: ‘when should I start saving for retirement, and how should I do it?’ The answer is to do this as soon as possible, but as there are a number of ways to go about it, you need to take account of your own circumstances and requirements.
