The last few years have seen some creative new methods of getting businesses engaged in protecting their networks and data. Trend Micro released a series of cybersecurity sci-fi movies in 2013, and now PricewaterhouseCoopers has created a cybersecurity computer game. PwC’s “Game of Threats” walks businesspeople, playing either as a team of nefarious hackers or as a company being attacked, through the important decisions they have to make during a breach, in hopes of giving them a deeper knowledge of cybersecurity and its challenges.

PwC, which is only making the game available to clients and says it’s aimed at executives and board members rather than IT, gave members of the media a sneak preview at its New York headquarters last week. The game is fast-paced and forces teams to make decisions with limited resources and knowledge of what the other side is up to, just like a real cyberattack.
