Locke Lord, currently digesting Edwards Wildman Palmer following the completion of a merger with the Am Law 100 firm last month, has added another notable litigator who once clerked for former U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor.

The newly merged firm brought on Boies, Schiller & Flexner partner M. KATHLEEN SMALLEY in Santa Monica as a partner in Los Angeles. Smalley, one of O’Connor’s first law clerks on the high court, is a former general counsel at real estate developers Trammell Crow Company and Catellus Development Corp. She also once chaired the governance committee as a trustee for the California State Teachers’ Retirement System.
