The indictment was returned in the Southern District where he appeared last month briefly when he was freed on bail a day after sharing the stage with Gov. The Southern District U.S. Attorney’s office has indicted Silver on charges of honest services mail fraud, honest services wire fraud and extortion under the color of his official duties.
