The 10 judges of Cobb County Superior Court will choose from three lawyers out of the total of 24 who applied for the chief judge's job in Magistrate Court.

Superior Court Chief Judge J. Stephen Schuster released the short list and the 31-question application, similar to that used by the governor's Judicial Nominating Commission.

The finalists are: John Greco, a criminal defense attorney; Joyette Holmes, assistant to Cobb County District Attorney Vic Reynolds; and Grady Moore, a criminal defense attorney and former Cobb County assistant district attorney.
