Plaintiff settles for $150,000 in collision with tractor-trailer

A driver who was struck by a tractor-trailer agreed to a $150,000 settlement on Jan. 6. Deanna Metzgar was driving in the right lane of Imperial Drive in Waco when the flatbed truck in the left lane made a right turn and struck her car’s front left side. Metzgar went by ambulance to the emergency room. She claimed neck, back and shoulder pain; a herniated disk at C5-6; and headaches. Metzgar claimed that the pain in her neck and shoulder did not resolve, and her orthopedic surgeon opined that Metzgar would probably need cervical disk replacement surgery.
