An electrical contractor who suffered persistent back pain after a worksite accident agreed to a $3.75 million settlement in his Monmouth County, New Jersey, suit, Delmo v. Klae Construction Co., on Feb. 5.

David Delmo was working on a construction site in Newton, New Jersey, on Feb. 21, 2008, when he sustained a herniated disc at L3/4 and bulging at L4/5 and L5/S1. Delmo was attempting to unload a delivery of wire spools weighing 80 to 150 pounds each when his back made an audible popping sound and he collapsed, plaintiffs lawyer Anthony Locascio said.
