DePaul University College of Law has received a $5 million donation from the Jaharis Family Foundation, a philanthropic organization established by alumnus and businessman Michael Jaharis.

The gift will bolster the Chicago law school’s health law program in several ways. First, it will endow the directorship of the school’s Health Law Institute, which for more than three decades has focused on the moral and legal challenges of the health care industry and has sought to influence policy on that front.
