As some top Am Law 100 firms seek to shed their private client teams, McDermott Will & Emery continues to expand its practice, even if its intellectual property group is poised for some notable departures.

The firm has added the head of Holland & Knight’s international private client practice, Leigh-Alexandra Basha, to its partnership ranks, McDermott announced Thursday. Basha will start an international private client practice for McDermott in Washington, D.C., once she officially joins the firm on April 13.
