A colorful seismic “treasure map” helped guide Joe Cohen’s clients to a rich gas reserve in South Texas. The map also helped them prevail in an oil and gas trade secrets dispute before a jury, a court of appeals, and most recently the Texas Supreme Court.
The high court’s decision on March 13 not to hear Lamont v. Vaquillas Energy Lopeno means that a $4.9 million award his energy client won before a jury stands, Cohen said.
