A former Navarro County prosecutor is facing a disciplinary action from the State Bar of Texas for allegedly not releasing evidence favorable to the defense during the 1992 capital murder trial of Cameron Todd Willingham. Willingham was executed in 2004.

John H. Jackson is the latest former Texas prosecutor to face disciplinary troubles for his conduct during a controversial capital murder trial.

In Commission for Lawyer Discipline v. Jackson, the bar alleges that while serving as the lead prosecutor in Willingham's case, Jackson failed to disclose to defense counsel that he'd offered favorable treatment to an inmate who testified at trial that Willingham had started a fire that killed his children in 1991.
