Prominent bankruptcy attorney Richard Levin, a primary author of the 1978 U.S. Bankruptcy Code, is leaving Cravath, Swaine & Moore for Jenner & Block effective May 18.

Levin’s move comes after nearly eight years with Cravath, where he served as a corporate partner and chair of its restructuring practice. He will join Jenner & Block’s bankruptcy, workout and corporate reorganization practice in the New York office of the Chicago-based firm.
