Two upstate New York law firms merged Monday, creating the largest firm in the state not based in New York City.
Hiscock & Barclay and Damon Morey announced they have combined to establish Barclay Damon, a 275-attorney firm with its largest offices in Buffalo and Syracuse, and additional offices in Toronto, New Jersey, Boston, New York City and Washington, D.C. The firm will have about 260 attorneys in New York.
“There are 70 equity partners in the new firm,” John Langan, the merged firm's managing partner, said, adding that six equity partners from the two firms declined to join the new entity.
