Problems continue to mount for Gordon Silver, the Las Vegas legal mainstay that has watched nearly all of its attorneys leave for other firms this year.
Last month Gordon Silver was sued in a Nevada state court by its landlord, who claims that it is owed $785,869.82 in lease payments, as first reported Thursday by Vegas Inc. Gordon Silver's headquarters were located in the Hughes Center, a complex of office buildings that was bought by a subsidiary of private equity giant The Blackstone Group in 2013.
The eight-page complaint, filed on June 12 by David Carroll, a name partner at Las Vegas-based Rice Reuther Sullivan & Carroll, requests the appointment of a receiver to take control of Gordon Silver's finances. (Carroll did not return a request for comment.)
