Buffalo-based Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman said Thursday it has acquired a 10-attorney labor firm that represents a union of 23,000 New York prison guards. Lippes Mathias, now with 56 attorneys, gains an Albany office and labor law practice in the combination.

Lippes Mathias absorbed Albany-based Sheehan Greene Golderman & Jacques, which focused on labor matters, including collective negotiations, contract arbitrations, disciplinary arbitrations and employment litigation.
