Ricoh has been granted a patent for Remlox, an offering that remotely collects electronically stored information (ESI) for computer forensics and e-discovery needs.

There are efficiency and economic benefits with the product, as the company says Remlox is able to cut down on the cost and time spent to collect email and other ESI from litigants’ computers. Basically, it produces a forensic image that is useful for forensic analysis, litigation holds, litigation preservation and other e-discovery requirements.
