SAN FRANCISCO — The founders of San Jose intellectual property boutique Tabarrok & Zahrt joined Duane Morris on Tuesday. Patent prosecutors Amir Tabarrok and Justin Zahrt joined the firm’s Palo Alto office as partners, where they hope to get experience doing inter partes reviews.

Their move is the latest in a summer that has seen a lot of movement between big firms and IP boutiques. An IP litigation trio from Fenwick & West launched San Francisco boutique Tyz Marton Schumann this week. Haynes and Boone acquired an IP boutique with Palo Alto and Chicago offices last month. Arnold & Porter absorbed Menlo Park boutique Agility IP Law in April.
