“It was a good settlement, there’s no doubt about it,” said Ed Valdespino, who represents a committee of investors in R. Allen Stanford’s $7 billion Ponzi scheme. “It’s going to get some money to the victims that’s badly needed, and it really does pave the way for additional settlements.”
