Jared Spector knew he aced the Florida Bar exam in July, but he had no idea he was the top scorer in the state until he got a cryptic call from the Florida Supreme Court asking him to speak at the official induction ceremony.

“They told me I did very well on the exam and invited me to give a speech,” said Spector, 26. “It was surprising. My friends would make jokes, ‘You’re going to be the one who gets the highest score,” but I never thought it would be me.”
