It’s that awkward week between Christmas and the New Year, and you probably couldn’t give a hoot about what’s happening in the wonderful world of law. You’re probably skiing somewhere out West or sunning yourself in the Yucatan or Cabos. But if you’re stuck at work or just hopelessly addicted to your mobile device, here’s some news to tie you over until we get back to normal:

1. It’s official: Law school enrollment dropped 5 percent in 2015. That’s according to American Bar Association based on statistics submitted by its 205 ABA-approved law schools. The National Law Journal reports:

This year, first-year students totaled 37,058 students, compared with last year’s tally of 37,894, marking a nearly 30 percent drop in first-year enrollment since 2010′s high-water mark of 52,488 students.
