Another former Dewey & LeBoeuf partner has stumbled in a lawsuit against Barclays plc related to capital contribution loans provided to partners at the now-defunct law firm.

Siding with Barclays on Dec. 22, U.S. District Judge Ellen Segal Huvelle in Washington, D.C., dismissed a complaint lodged against Barclays by Elizabeth Sandza, now an insurance partner at Wilson Elser Moskowitz Edelman & Dicker. Jonathan Shaw of Boies, Schiller & Flexner defended Barclays in the case.

Sandza is just one of several former Dewey & LeBoeuf partners who have filed suit against Barclays following the law firm's collapse into bankruptcy in 2012. The suits have generally focused on loans that Barclays financed to cover Dewey partners' capital contributions to the firm.
