The Board of Trustees of Whitter College announced on Wednesday that Whittier Law School in Costa Mesa, California, will close.

In an announcement posted on the school's website, Chairman of the Board of Trustees Alan Lund said Whittier Law, which is accredited by the American Bar Association, will not enroll new students in the fall.

Lund said the board had created a subcommittee in 2015 to help improve the educational program and student performance, and had also explored potential buyers.
