Duane Morris has hired a Southeast Asia-focused corporate partner in Singapore.
Gerard Hekker joins from Sidley Austin, where he had been a partner advising on corporate transactions with an emphasis on Indonesia-related deals. In 2015, he advised Indonesian telecom tower company PT Solusi Tunas Pratama Tbk on a $300 million senior notes issue . In 2014, he represented Jakarta, Indonesia-based telecom carrier PT XL Axiata Tbk on an $865 million acquisition of rival PT Axis Telekom Indonesia .
