China’s Zhong Lun Law Firm has hired a four-lawyer banking team in Hong Kong from Mayer Brown JSM.

Led by former Mayer Brown partner Joe Tam , the team advises China-related bank loan, debt restructuring and foreign direct investment transactions. Tam had been a partner with legacy Johnson Stokes & Master and stayed through the Hong Kong firm’s 2008 merger with Mayer Brown. He was also the firm’s chief representative in Guangzhou until the office’s closure two years.
