Brian P. O'Neil joined Blank Rome in the firm's Philadelphia office as an associate in the real estate group.
O'Neil joins the firm from Klehr Harrison Harvey Branzburg.
He concentrates his practice on commercial real estate transactions, where he counsels a large range of clients, including private equity firms, developers and landlords, in connection with the purchase and financing, sale and leasing of commercial real estate properties.
Admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, O'Neil earned his J.D. from Rutgers Law School.

The Pennsylvania Bar Association Commission on Women in the Profession is scheduled to present its annual Lynette Norton Award to Cozen O'Connor attorney Jennifer M. McHugh during the commission's 25th annual conference, “Empowering Women,” May 9 at the Hershey Lodge in Hershey.
The award is designed to recognize and encourage female attorneys who excel in litigation skills and who are devoted to mentoring female lawyers.
McHugh is a partner at Cozen O'Connor where she represents corporate clients in insurance, professional liability, commercial, real estate and medical malpractice litigation.
She briefly left Cozen O'Connor from 2004-05 after being appointed deputy insurance commissioner of the Pennsylvania Insurance Department.
In this role, she was responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Mcare fund.

McNees Wallace & Nurick attorney Ann V. Levin is set to present at the Make Divorce Healthier Symposium at the Normandy Farm on April 24 in Blue Bell.
Levin's scheduled co-presenters include Ellen S. Fischer, Danine Mueller, Arlene Schnee-Rosen and Dorothy S. Langton on “Collaborative Law: What It Is and How It Works for Both the Simple and the Complex Divorce.”
Levin has been practicing family law in central Pennsylvania since 1995.
Her practice is focused on helping divorce clients who desire to move beyond the divorce and put their children's needs first.

Neumann University's Center for Leadership is set to host a workshop, titled “Sexual Harassment and You: What Every Employer and Employee Needs to Know,” from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on May 22.
Employment law attorneys and human resource professionals will provide information on issues related to sexual harassment including the current landscape, employee rights, and best practices for employers related to training, establishing office policies, putting in place reporting structures and reviewing complaints.
A mock sexual harassment and Q&A panel to answer attendee questions will be held following the panelists' individual presentations.
Scheduled panelists for this event include Lori Armstrong Halber and Rick Grimaldi, partners at law firm Fisher & Phillips; David Hackett, an attorney at the law firm of Cozen O'Connor; and Alison DiFlorio, managing partner of Human Capital Management, Exude Inc.

Driscoll from Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr have stepped in to represent Symbotic Inc., an A.I.-enabled technology platform that focuses on increasing supply chain efficiency, and other defendants in a pending shareholder derivative lawsuit. The case, filed Oct. 2 in Massachusetts District Court by the Brown Law Firm on behalf of Stephen Austen, accuses certain officers and directors of misleading investors in regard to Symbotic's potential for margin growth by failing to disclose that the company was not equipped to timely deploy its systems or manage expenses through project delays. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton, is 1:24-cv-12522, Austen v. Cohen et al.

The action, filed Oct. 7 in New York Southern District Court by the Brown Law Firm, accuses the company's directors and/or officers of falsely expressing confidence in the company’s restructuring of its sales incentive plan and downplaying the severity of decreases in its upfront commitments. The complaint was filed Sept. 4 in Connecticut District Court by attorney Robert M. Berke on behalf of former employee George Edward Steins, who was arrested and charged with employing an unregistered home improvement salesperson. The complaint alleges that had Sunrun informed the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection that the plaintiff's employment had ended in 2017 and that he no longer held Sunrun's home improvement contractor license, he would not have been hit with charges, which were dismissed in May 2024. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jeffrey A. Meyer, is 3:24-cv-01423, Steins v. Sunrun, Inc. et al.
