Legal software provider Intapp won the supplier innovation title (technology) for a second year running, this time in recognition of its Intapp Experience offering.

Teaming up with Osborne Clarke, Intapp has developed a tool that is able to keep track of work performed across the firm to be easily drawn on for pitches and presentations – a difficult task when a business is continuously growing (previous efforts tended to be time-consuming and disjointed, such as updating numerous spreadsheets).

Osborne Clarke wanted a solution that required little training and that could integrate seamlessly with other IT systems, which Intapp Experience was able to deliver. By capturing information on individual matters and projects from existing systems automatically, no data entry is required. And because it is centralised, marketing and business development teams can search for the relevant experience and expertise far more rapidly when responding to RFPs.

The next phase of the project will see the system rolled out to lawyers, giving them improved visibility of what the rest of the firm is doing and bolstering cross-selling opportunities.

"People have been trying to deal with this problem for 30 years – real challenges for large law firms, very few have sorted it. Very clear-sighted," a judge enthused.
