After a one-year delay, Singapore will in April launch a startup accelerator focused on legal technology, the first of its kind in Asia, according to the Singapore Academy of Law, a government body that promotes the city-state’s legal industry.

The accelerator will be rolled out by the Future Law Innovation Programme, a two-year pilot program started at the beginning of last year by SAL. It will be open to legal tech startups around the world that are interested in supporting the Singapore legal market and use the city-state as the main office for future expansion abroad. The accelerator will be three to six months long and there are no limits on the number of startups invited to the accelerator.
