The London office of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan has finalized its new management team, in the process announcing a new co-managing partner and new senior partner position.
The changes see current office co-managing partner Richard East take on the new mantle of senior partner, while energy litigation chair Ted Greeno becomes co-managing partner alongside incumbent Sue Prevezer QC.
A former HSF partner, Greeno joined Quinn in 2013, where he has been chair of the energy practice, focusing on commercial litigation and arbitration in sectors including oil, gas and power.
Prevezer and East have jointly led the office since its launch back in 2008. Under their stewardship the office has enjoyed steady growth, and this year announced revenue growth of 16%. The office also added a patent litigation practice and continues to act for such bluechip clients as Samsung and Qualcomm.
As senior partner, East is expected to continue to fee-earn on a full-time basis, while also taking lead roles on aspects of management such as recruitment and strategy.
Prevezer said in a statement: “Whilst I will obviously miss co-managing the London office with Richard, I know that Richard will ensure that the London office continues apace, and I look forward to co-managing with Ted and the development of the London office in the next 10 years.”
East added: “It has been a privilege to have led the London office for the past 11 years alongside Sue as co-managing partner. During that time, Quinn has become a highly regarded and well-established disputes-only practice and we have helped revolutionize the London disputes market. I look forward to the next stage of our growth and development under the new management team.”
