How often during the week do you work out? Four times a week.

At what time during the day or evening do you work out? First thing in the morning. 7 a.m. is my normal start.

What's your go-to routine? It is always important to stretch and roll out, so I start with that. I'm a fan of big compound weight exercise, so I usually take bench press, squats and dead lifts in turn. For cardio, I kickbox.

How long does it take? An hour in total.

Why do you like this routine? It is a great way to start the day.

What does regular exercise do for you? It is really the only time of the day which is truly "me time." It is also a great stress reliever. There is nothing like a ball slam or kicking a punching bag to make you feel calm afterwards. It also makes me strong, which I love.

How long have you been exercising regularly? Probably around five years.

In what ways have you changed your routine over the months or years? I've had various minor injuries along the way, so I have had to adapt. I used to run for cardio, but my Achilles and my knees don't like that now. Weights I have always loved, and I'd never give those up willingly. I have recently invested in a treadmill desk, so I am hoping that will help with aches and pains and the bad posture, which comes with the job.

How do you convince yourself to work out when you don't want to? I tell myself that if I don't work out the stress or stretch I'll pay for it later. I'm a better person when I hit the gym.
