Australian law firm Hall & Willcox has hired a real estate partner from global firm Ashurst to join its property and projects practice.

Sydney-based Kitty Vo advises on complex commercial, industrial and retail leases and licences, including pre-commitment documentation and long-term leasing arrangements. She has also acted on high-value acquisitions and disposals of major commercial and industrial property, Hill & Wilcox said.

"Kitty has a wealth of experience in all aspects of commercial real estate transactions around Australia for both private and public sector organisations. She adds further depth to our leading national real estate practice," Hall & Wilcox managing partner Tony Macvean said in a statement.

"Kitty's appointment in Sydney also further enhances our broad commercial offering to clients, complementing our corporate, banking, financial services and dispute practices."

Vo said she was looking forward to helping the firm's property and projects practice expand.

"Hall & Wilcox is a highly regarded firm that is well placed to evolve to meet the challenges of our dynamic economic and legal environment. I am looking forward to jumping on board the property & projects team and participating," she said.

Ashurst declined to comment.
