This week, we're exploring what comes next for law firm leaders at the end of their tenure. As their terms come to a close, these partners find that it can be a time of opportunity and newly found freedom. But it's also a point when they may feel disconnected from previous clients, behind on the developments in their practice areas and at sea as their responsibilities start to shift.
To hash it all out is Law.com reporter Patrick Smith. He talks with Terry Pritchard, a partner at Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, whose term as co-chair of the firm will end this year. Smith also talks with Keith Wetmore, former chairman of Morrison & Foerster, who stepped down from the top job in 2012. Now managing director at legal recruiter Major, Lindsey & Africa, Wetmore has an industry expert's perspective on the transition of law firm leaders.
