Ince Fires Singapore Managing Partner Following Molestation Verdict
The Singapore head had been fined $15,000 after pleading guilty to charges of molestation and harassment.

Ince has fired its managing partner in Singapore after he was found guilty of molesting three women in a bar in Singapore.
Devandran Karunakaran, a member of the firm's maritime division, was fined $15,000 by the court this week after pleading guilty to three charges of molestation. He was also charged under the Protection from Harassment Act.
A spokesperson for Ince said in a statement: "Following the Singapore Court's decision, Devandran Karunakaran's position at Ince has been terminated with immediate effect and he no longer works at the firm.
"We take the behavior and ethical conduct of all of the Group's Partners and staff extremely seriously."
The court case, which was first reported by Singapore publication The New Paper and confirmed by a person close to the firm, found that Karunkaran had molested three women, including the bar's DJ and the bar's marketing officer, in May of last year.
When asked to leave the bar by the manager, he reportedly refused and hurled profanities and claimed that as a lawyer he could get the manager fired. He was later escorted out of the bar and arrested later that night.
Karunakaran has been approached for comment.
Karunakaran's actions are the latest in a string of misconduct cases that have rocked the legal industry. Last month, Ryan Beckwith resigned from Freshfields after being fined by the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal over allegations of non-consensual sexual activity.
Earlier in the year, Ashurst asked its then global board member Bernd Egbers to leave over a misconduct issue.
