DAC Beachcroft has added a 20-lawyer team to its Madrid office via a tie-up with Spanish firm Asjusa.

The move will see the local law firm join DAC Beachcroft's Madrid base and act under the DACB brand.

Asjusa focuses on health care and the team is made up of professional liability and health care lawyers.

Partner trio Eduardo Asensi Pallarés, Iñigo Cid-Luna Clares and Julio Albi are leading the new team from Asjusa.

In a statement, DAC Beachcroft managing partner David Pollitt said: "International growth is a cornerstone of our strategy to bolster the global support and sustainable value we provide to our clients. This highly strategic combination, which augments both our insurance and health offering, does just that."

The expansion of DAC Beachcroft's Madrid operations follows its other recent growth in Europe.  The firm launched in Paris last year with the hire of an eight-strong team of lawyers from local firm HMN & Partners.

The firm also took over alliance firm McKinty and Wright to establish a base in Northern Ireland in April last year.
