As is the case every year, interesting and important discussions abounded at Legalweek 2020 in New York. I and many ALM colleagues—including some who our Mid-Market Report readers know well—were in attendance.

Advancing technology underlies much of Legalweek’s content, and a walk through the impressive vendor exhibits by itself alights ideas about how law practices are operating differently than in eras past. At the keynotes, seminars and breakout sessions, that point is driven home, but we also learn that legal industry evolution is something more foundational than software, systems or management structure.
