Students at top law schools increasingly are putting pressure on law firms to change their ways. In this episode, we explore law student activism, and how future attorneys attending law schools at Harvard, Yale, New York University and elsewhere are using their leverage to protest firms' policies and practices.
You'll hear from two students from Harvard Law—Aaron Regunberg and Sejal Singh—who have been instrumental in organizing protests against over law firms' mandatory arbitration agreements and protests against law firm Paul Weiss, over its representation of ExxonMobil in climate change litigation. You'll also hear from Law.com legal education editor Karen Sloan, who addresses the larger picture of Big Law associate hiring. She pinpoints the major takeaways from the 2020 Go-To Law Schools report, Law.com's annual ranking of the law schools that major firms hire from the most to fill their first-year associate classes.
