Svetlana Eisenberg clearly wasn't expecting this email.

The partner at litigation boutique Brewer, Attorneys & Counselors found herself in June among more than three-dozen recipients on a chain email from retired Cook County Circuit Court Judge Richard Neville sharing what purported to be an editorial from the Baltimore Sun titled "The Black Dilemma."

It was odd enough to be getting a personal email from Neville, who at the time was an arbitrator at JAMS overseeing a case Eisenberg was handling for the National Rifle Association against an opponent represented by counsel at Winston & Strawn. And it was odder still that Winston partner Terry Grimm was also among the recipients.
