This year's General Counsel Conference hosted by Corporate Counsel focused on in-house counsel wading in the knee-deep waters of budgeting in a COVID-19 environment.

Held Tuesday and Wednesday, attendees had the opportunity to sit in on panels remotely via their computers and receive valuable advice from 100 speakers, the majority being GCs and other high-level in-house lawyers.

In the "Problem Solving Through COVID-19: Decreasing Budgets, But Creative Solutions" panel, Deborah Rasin, chief legal officer at Hill-Rom; Krishna Walker, the sole attorney and GC at CareVet; and Hank Greenberg, GC at Oscar Insurance discussed how they became creative about keeping outside counsel spend at a manageable rate.
