Axiom is looking to outcompete Big Law and win business from corporate legal departments by being transparent about its diversity numbers and more aggressive about recruiting minorities and women than traditional law firms. 

“We can already demonstrate a much, much higher threshold of diversity,” which is a top priority for in-house legal departments that have been the “real push and engine behind trying to drive diversity efforts in the legal industry,” said Axiom global head of legal Catherine Kemnitz.
