It’s a tough year to try and grab the brass ring. Two thirds of the U.K.’s largest firms have reduced their partnership promotions this year, according to research by Law.com International.

Slashed’, ‘reduced’ and ‘smallest’ have been a recurring headline theme as firms unveil their 2020 promotions. Data shows that of the 18 U.K. top 20 firms to have made announcements, 12 have reduced their promotion rounds this year.
