It's a Big Tent for Biden on Patents

Patent owners must have been feeling reasonably good Saturday night, when Joe Biden and Kamala Harris claimed victory in the presidential election. Sure, some of them would have preferred four more years of an administration that's grown increasingly warm toward patent rights. But Biden began his speech by name-checking Sen. Chris Coons from his home state of Delaware. That's Chris Coons of the Senate Judiciary's IP Subcommittee, who's been leading efforts to overrule the U.S. Supreme Court's patent eligibility decisions and pass the STRONGER Patents Act, which would roll back portions of the America Invents Act.
