Roundup Lead Counsel's Fee Request Called a "Money Grab"

Objections over an estimated $800 million in common benefit fees in the Roundup multidistrict litigation are rolling in, with one firm calling the request from lead counsel a "money grab." More than a dozen law firms, including Beasley Allen and The Lanier Law Firm, object to a proposed holdback of 8% in fees and .25% in expenses. They calculated their $800 million figure on Bayer's nearly $10 billion price tag last year for settling lawsuits over Monsanto's Roundup.
