Law firm profits last year were eye-popping. The 14% average growth in net income and profits per equity partner in the legal industry, according to Citi Private Bank Law Firm Group, is borne out by several reports in the last few weeks of big and regional firms across the country enjoying stunning bottom-line results.

While some law firm leaders might still be a little skittish to publicly discuss financials—fearing to appear tone deaf at a time of continuing pandemic stress—the results actually vindicate the strength of their client relationships, especially during crises, and how they can be relied on going forward.
