"This Is the Gold Rush"

It seems like a good time to think again about Arizona. And not just because the Kansas City Royals and Chicago Cubs are off to a fine start in Cactus League baseball. But also because the state Supreme Court's committee on Alternative Business Structures met on Tuesday for the first time since regulatory changes went into effect, and voted to recommend the first two applicants for licenses.

These firms are not household names. As I noted here last week, one—Trajan Estate—does estate planning and is looking to bring a financial planner into the partnership. The other, Payne Hubesch, is currently an accountancy practice, with one partner currently holding a JD as well as a CPA.
