Class Actions Take Center Stage at US Supreme Court

The U.S. Supreme Court has class actions on its mind.

On Monday: The high court heard oral arguments in a securities class action in which Goldman Sachs is challenging the reliability of its corporate statements, that plaintiff Arkansas Teacher Retirement System used in obtaining class certification. The justices may be considering a narrow ruling. "I mean, this seems like an area that the more that I read about it, the less that we write, the better," Justice Stephen Breyer said.
