A year ago, many across the legal industry hoped the pandemic-prompted shift to remote work would be a temporary nuisance–an obstacle to overcome before getting back to normal. But normal is no longer an option.
Being forced to go almost entirely online laid bare a number of inefficiencies that had previously been accepted as the costs of doing business. And while there have been and will continue to be plenty of challenges associated with remote work, it's become clear that it's not going away, even after the pandemic is a faded memory.
